CHAT MEETINGS CAN ONLY BE ACCESSED FROM A PERSON COMPUTER
OR LAPTOP RATHER THAN MOBILE DEVICES.
ALATEEN CHAT SAFETY FEATURES

Young people aged 13 to 18 who have been affected by someone else’s drinking are invited to share experience, strength and hope with other teens.

Only registered Alateens attend Alateen chat meetings.

Teens can only chat when two adult Alateen Group Sponsors are present.

Meeting is moderated and the sharings are screened by two Alateen Group Sponsors. This happens very quickly, with no delay. They make sure that no personal information or inappropriate language is used in the room.

​The Alateen chat rooms are administered by the Al-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc. They are the only on-line meetings eligible to use the Alateen name. For more information on the Alateen Chat Meetings, contact Al-Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc. Group Services Department, wso@al-anon.org.
ALATEEN CHAT REGISTRATION AND SCHEDULE
Registration is required with a valid e-mail address.
You will be asked to “click back” from an e-mail during the registration process. Check your "Spam" or "Junk" folder if you don't receive an e-mail in your inbox.
With your screen name and password, you can access ANY of the Alateen chat rooms during the times scheduled.
